Join artist Christy Obalek on a whimsical tour of botanical and wildlife sketches that celebrate the wonders of the natural world. This unique book combines the spontaneity of a sketchbook, capturing the fleeting beauty of everyday moments in nature, with a skillfully curated arrangement of works that reflect a deep connection to the outdoors and seasonal rhythms.

Blending detailed observation with imaginative interpretation, the works in this collection feature a variety of media, including watercolour, pencil, and ink, and nature-based subject matter—from towering trees to detailed studies of leaves, from charming birds to their amazingly intricate feathers.

Drawn from Nature is aimed at nature lovers, artists, and those wishing to embark on their own artistic journey. It sheds light on Obalek’s artistic process, through her own field notes, spontaneous studies, and works-in-progress. Celebrating the act of slowing down, observing, and sketching from life, this charming book is the inspiration we all need to reconnect with the natural world.
