Travel the Northwest Passage and explore the Arctic with the author Ken Burton. His travels into the Arctic and through the passages linking western waters with those of the east coast, began in the year 2000, when he did a circumnavigation of North America. As captain of the St Roch II, he visited people and places through the regions that covered Alaska and its historic settlements in the Canadian Arctic. Returning to the Northwest Passage aboard cruise ships and other vessels, he has come to know the area very well, acquired data, held discussions with locals and collected an accumulation of fine photographs. This book depicts much of what he has gathered during his timely visits and communications within the region.
